Your Primary Care Provider (Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner) is your first point of care when you have a health concern or a question. The following locations in PCN 2 can provide more urgent or specialized care.

Supports urgent, non life-threatening heath concerns

Robert & Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre

Provides basic health care services, working with community organizations and Primary Care Providers to keep people and communities healthy

59 West Pender St.

Pender Community Health Centre

Serving clients who reside in the downtown eastside who have no Primary Care Provider and experience barriers accessing services

569 Powell St.

Downtown Community Health Centre

Focusing on addiction and mental health services for those living in the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona areas

330 Heatley Ave

Heatley Community Health Centre

Priority is given to people who are unhoused and under-housed, are living with complex psychosocial and clinical needs, and who require a higher intensity of services to achieve and maintain functional stability.

Community Based Supports

There are many community resources that can support your health and well-being in PCN 2. Neighborhood Houses, Seniors Centres, Community Centres and Libraries offer different types of programs to support their surrounding neighborhoods.

Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House

Located at 573 East Hastings St., Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House provides programming and educational, leadership, social and recreational opportunities to residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Vancouver Public Library

Libraries in your neighborhood offer different healthcare navigation and support programming. You can search their events listings for healthcare related topics.

Community Centres

Community Centres provide a variety of programs and resources that can support health and wellness such as information sessions and fitness classes. Find the Community Centres in your neighborhood at the link below.

Downtown Eastside Seniors Centre

Located at 509 East Hastings, the Downtown Eastside Seniors Centre provides programs and services to support low income seniors from the surrounding area.

Brittania Seniors Activity Centre

Located at 1661 Napier St., the Brittania Seniors Activity Centre, also known as the Al Mattison Lounge, offers numerous drop in programs for seniors aged 55 and older.
