Find Care

Find out how to register for a Primary Care Provider, access more urgent care and explore other interim care options.

Find a Primary Care Provider

People in the province who are looking for a Primary Care Provider (Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner) can now register on the Health Connect Registry. When you register, you are added to a list of people in need of a primary care provider in your community. The Vancouver Division of Family Practice is working with the Health Connect Registry to establish the process for connection for Vancouver residents. Family Doctors and Nurse Practitioners are limited, but along with the Ministry of Health, the Vancouver Division is helping to increase resources to support primary care in Vancouver. To register, you will need to provide:

  • Your Personal Health Number (PHN), you can find this on your BC Services Card or BC Drivers License
  • Your home address
  • Your contact information

If you have questions about the Health Connect Registry you can call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1, or for the deaf and hard of hearing, 7-1-1. Translation services are available.
